Fitness Prevents Impotence

Over time, many studies have been done to understand male impotence. Impotence is a condition in which a man is unable to have an erection at all, even if the male is aroused sexually. There are several reasons that a man may experience impotence. Some of the causes of impotence were thought to include anxiety, depression, alcohol, and age. After discovering impotence, some men have turned to nitrate pills that are prescribed by a health care provider in order to maintain a healthy blood flow to the penis. After extensive research, doctors have found out that lack of physical fitness is the leading cause of male impotence. In fact, 90% of male impotence is caused by lack of physical health.

Impotence is also a strong indicator of cardiovascular disease. The penile arteries are somewhat smaller than the arteries that carry blood to the heart. If there is a block to the smaller penile arteries, then that means the larger arteries are at risk to narrowing also. This has been known to trigger a heart attack. By lacking physical fitness, the body is left with poor blood circulation. The inner lining of blood vessels help blood flow smoothly throughout the penis. In order to prevent impotence, it is important for a man to exercise regularly. Exercise may in fact be the key to a more successful sex life. If a man has not been physically active for some time, a doctor’s visit would be the best start before proceeding with any physical activity. There are 4 main components of fitness, this includes working with the cardiorespiratory capacity, muscular capacity, flexibility, and body composition. Cardiorespiratory capacity involves oxygen being delivered to the cells, creating circulation, and using it at the cellular level to create energy for physical activity. An example of this would involve an activity, such as aerobics. Muscular capacity includes the ability to generate force that can be addressed through weight training. Flexibility is the amount of movement that the joints are capable of making. The posture of a person is in relation to their range of flexibility. Body composition includes everything but the fatty tissue in the human body. The body composition of a male can impact their bodily functions.

The first step is checking with your doctor if you have not been physically active in quite some time. The next step to avoiding impotence is building an exercise program that is meant for you. Not everyone enjoys exercise, but the best way to make it through is by choosing activities that are enjoyable. Some men enjoy playing basketball, which is a fun way to stay in shape. Studies have shown that even a brisk walk everyday, for at least 3 months, can significantly improve the health of male blood vessels by at least 30%. When a workout is done correctly, a person will feel more energized and stronger than before. This feeling lasts for hours after working out and is created by endorphins. By staying physically fit, you will not only be feeling great, but at the same time you are preventing impotence.
